Spring Season Tryout and Draft
Team Selection for the Shetland teams will be assembled by the player agent based on requests and random selection. Coaches will receive their rosters in mid February.
Tryout Rules
- Every player in the Pinto - Pony Divisions must go through the tryout / draft process each spring season.
- Tryouts consist of hitting, fielding and base running.
- Players are responsible for providing their own glove and cleats to perform correctly.
- Tryouts are designed to evaluate basic ability, player effort, hustle and attitude.
Draft Rules
- Team drafts will be supervised by an Executive Committee member.
- Team drafts will be run by the Player Agent for that division.
- Only Coaches will be permitted in the draft room during team selection.
- Specific draft procedures will be outlined at the beginning of the draft selection process.
- Trades are permitted, under Player Agent supervision, in the draft room only.
- Team rosters will be assembled and turned in at the draft before leaving.
- Final draft selections are the coaches' responsibility.
